Wink Wink Ink Baby Gift Set

Hello! Today I have a Wink Wink Ink Baby Gift Set to show you. The set includes a 'Onesie' inside a decorative box, a door hanger, and a card. I used the Wink Wink Ink image "Blossom Baby" on all the items. Here is the complete gift set: And here is the 'Onesie' inside the decorative box I made. I didn't purchase the box. Whenever I buy something that comes in 'interesting' packaging, I always save it because I know I can re purpose it into something useful. I believe this is the clear plastic that Papertrey Ink Stamp Sets come in. I simply covered it with card stock and designer paper and added a ribbon and button for embellishment.

Here is the 'Onesie' outside the box. I used Photo Transfer Paper to print my image on and then simply ironed it on. That easy. There is no need to applique. The image stays put! The nicest thing about Wink Wink Ink Digital Images is that they come pre-colored and in black and white so that you have more options when designing.

Next, I made a door hanger so everyone would know to be quiet when the baby was sleeping. I simply used my Cricut Expression Machine to cut out the circles and scallops, then I sewed on a ribbon and added some embellies for decoration. The sentiment was printed on the computer.

And finally, here is my card. A set cannot be completed without a card right? The designer paper used in all three projects is DCWV 'Nana's Nursery Baby Girl'. The card stock color is Groovy Guava. I colored the image on the door hanger and the card with Copic Markers. The second layer of the flower on both projects are popped up on dimensionals. The sentiment is retired Stampin Up!. I also added a pastel, variegated ric rac and flowers for embellishment around the sentiment.

These cute little butterflies are a glittery plastic purchased from the dollar bins at JoAnn's. I added an adhesive crystal in each center. The pink flowers around the sentiment were also from the same package.

Digital Tuesday Challenge "Dazzle Me!"

Hello and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge. This week's challenge is "Dazzle Me!" Simply make a card or project that has at least one digital image and is very 'Dazzling!'. What does that mean? Well, 'bling' of course! Whether its in the form of glitter, jewels, shiny paper, etc. Make Liberace proud of your work! Our sponsor this week is Digital Delights by Louby Loo and she is giving away 4 digis to one lucky randomly chosen winner.

To make my card, I used the Digital Delights image "Bucket and Spade Peyton". Now at first glance my card may not look very 'dazzling' to you, but trust me, in real life it is. Glitter is the hardest thing to photograph, because you have to move it to make it shine. The 'sand' in my card is a glitter paper by DCWV. Then I glittered the seashells with an ultra fine iridescent glitter and I put Stickles in the sand bucket. I also added a glittery flower and an adhesive crystal for the sentiment. I made the sun with my Cricut Expression using designer paper from 'K & Co Small Wonders Boy'. The seashells are stamped images from Natural Wonder. Here is a close up of the main image colored with Copic Markers and the sun.

And here is a close up of the seashells and the 'sand' paper. You can see the glitter a little better in this photograph. I put some of the shells up on dimensionals. I hand cut the 'wave' using a stencil.

The quote I got off of a Mary Engelbreit calender and then printed it on my computer. I also look for great quotes that I can use on my cards since so many images do not come with quotes.

Christmas in June!

No, its not a typo. I know its July. I'm playing catch-up on my Xmas Cards remember? As most of you already know, I play the Xmas Card Challenge on SCS. I'm committed to making 5 Xmas Cards a month so that I'll have 60 by the end of the year. However, I had to take some time off to prepare for my daughter's wedding, so now I'm playing catch-up. These are my June Cards. Soon you will be seeing my March, April, and May Xmas Cards too. Yes, I'm that far behind. Ugh! As usual, to make it easy on my myself, I used the Featured Stamper Challenges on SCS. Here is my first card: It was for FS178 when Cookiebaker was the Featured Stamper. I used a Just Rite Sentiment for the outside of the circle, but the inside of the circle is a Clear Dollar Stamp from Studio G. I put Stickles on the star and ornaments. My second card is for FS171 when ctorina was the Featured Stamper. The Santa is also from Studio G. The present on top of the ribbon is a button, and I added a pom pom to Santa's hat.

My third card if for when FS177 when Debbie Seyer was the Featured Stamper. The image is a digital from Cute Daisy May. The sentiment is a quote from the Bible that I printed using my computer.

And my last card, which is TOTALLY NOT my style is for FS175 when LeAnne Pugliese was the Featured Stamper. Even though I love vintage images, when I use them I do more of a clean and simple look. Glitter is not my thing. However to me the beauty of the Featured Stamper Challenges is to push you out of your comfort zone a little bit and try and style that's different from your own. And this one certainly is. The main image is from Crafty Secrets 'Xmas Images and Journal Notes' that my good on line friend Darlene sent me. It is mounted up on dimensionals and I put glitter around the frame. The paper is already sparkly and pre-glittered and is from DCWV Holiday Collection 'The Christmas Stack'. I made the gold leaves using metallic paper and the Martha Stewart Oak Leaf Punch. The pearl brad is also Martha Stewart from her wedding line.

What? No 5th card you ask? Well that's because I already posted that one in JUNE, when we did a Christmas in June challenge on the Digital Challenge Blog. You will have to scroll down a few posts to see it!

More Wedding Photos

Hello. Today I have more wedding photos to show you. We are still waiting on the professional pictures, so these are just candid snapshots a friend took. The first picture is of my son Jordan and the grooms sister, also named Jordan, walking down the aisle after the ceremony. The wedding colors were 'Guava' which is a bright pink coral color. All the bridesmaids dresses were the same color, but different styles. It worked out really nice cause each of the girls got to pick out their own dress. The groomsmen tux's were all chocolate brown and had a pin stripe in them. The accent color was 'Teal' which was in the dress I wore, the tie of the pastor, and in the ribbon and colors of the floral arrangements. This is the flower girl 'Maggie', the daughter of a neighbor/friend who I went to Italy with. This candid shot was taken in one of the many garden spots in my yard. I made her dress myself using left over material from Ashley's Gown. The sash was purchased at the same bridal shop as the bridesmaids dresses. The flower basket was purchased at JoAnn's for $1.49 and was just a simple wicker basket. Ashley spray painted it 'ivory' and then my friend Leni lined it with ivory satin (also left over from Ashley's dress), and put ribbon and flowers on it.

Here is Ashley and Jason with our ADORABLE Ring Bearer 'Brayden'. Do ring bearer's get any cuter than this? Love it! Ashley's bouquet was a mix of ivory lilies, and coral roses.

Here is Ashley with our sweet flower girl Maggie. She was the PERFECT flower girl!

And here is a closer look of the flower basket and dress of the flower girl.

This is Janelle, one of the bridesmaids. Baby's breath was put in all the bridesmaids hair by our wonderful friend and hairdresser Brenda. The bridesmaids bouquets were little bunches of flowers tied together with teal ribbon. All the arrangements had a natural wildflower, garden look. They were perfect for the setting of the wedding.

And here's those crazy groomsmen posing around a ring of hosta under a big maple tree. The men are Jordan (my son), John (friend of the bride and groom), Brayden (the ring bearer), Jason (the groom) and John (the groom's brother).

Someone is looking a little sick and tired of getting his picture taken. LOL!

And finally, here is a shot of the reception held out on the patio our home. The family in the foreground are our lifelong friends Kirk and Shannon and their kids Brandon and Toria. Shannon was the photographer at the wedding and Kirk was an usher.

In a Real Jam

Hello! Today I have a Wink Wink Ink card to show you that uses an image called "In a Jam". This image comes with several really cute sentiments. To make my card, I used DCWV paper 'All About Girls'. My sketch is from I Love to Stamp. My image was colored with Copic Markers. Here is a close up of this funny image.

Floral Sympathy Card

My husband's aunt recently passed away. She was too young to leave this earth this soon (early 60's) but had complications due to diabetes. I made this card for her husband. The flower and leaf are digital images from 'Fred, She Said'. I rubbed a Stylus Tool on the images after I cut them out to get them to curl. The sentiment is retired Stampin Up!. Card stock colors are white, Old Olive, and Pink Pirouette. Here is a close up of the flower. I added an adhesive pearl in the center. They are colored with Copic markers.

I put a store bought butterfly from K & Company on the card for extra embellishment.

Digital Tuesday Challenge 'Happy Birthday'

Hello and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge. This week our challenge is 'Happy Birthday!' Simply make a birthday card or birthday project using at least one digital image. Our sponsor this week is Delicious Doodles and they are giving away 4 digis to one lucky randomly chosen winner.

To make my card I used the Delicious Doodles image ' A Slice of Cake'. I used the SC287 sketch from Splitcoaststampers. The image was printed out twice and the cake was cut out and popped up on dimensionals. I also have the the pink panel up on dimensionals. I covered the balloons in Crystal Effects so that it is really shiny in real life. There are also Stickles on the birthday candle flame and the dots on the cake. I found the cute shiny plastic flower at the dollar bins in JoAnn's. The tag was made with a Cuttlebug Die.

Jordan's High School Scrapbook "The Sports Pages"

Hello! Today I have a double page scrap book page from my son's high school scrap book to show you. Jordan ran in both Cross Country and Track and did very well in each sport. Here are the two pages together as they are seen in the scrap book. Jordan is the boy in the dark blue uniform. Here is just the first page. The ribbons and medals are the actual awards he won. The sentiments were done on the computer

Here is a close up of the medal and some embellies. The paper and embellies came from a sports scrap booking kit purchased at JoAnn's.

Here is the second page. The actual newspaper articles were used. I do not spray my newspaper with Archival Mist because I think its ridiculous. I love it when my newspaper articles turn yellow. That shows how old and valuable they are! And, I love the look.

Xmas in July!

Hello! Today I have 5 Xmas cards to show you. As most of you already know, I participate in the Xmas Card Challenge on SCS and committed to making 5 Xmas cards a month. However, with my daughter's wedding, I haven't made any Xmas Cards since March and I am 19 cards behind. So I am playing CATCH UP! Today I will show you my July Cards, then I'm going backwards to June, May and April! I used the Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS for all my Xmas Cards so that they would be quick and easy. I won't provide any links to the original cards since they are long, long gone, but I will mention who's card it originally was.

My first card was made for the FS169 Challenge when Eliotstamps was the Featured Stamper. I used "Peppermint Forest' paper by Joann's Fabrics and Crafts and the retired SU! stamp 'Figures of Speech' that my good on line friend Patti J. sent me. My second card was made when Angela Crockett was the Featured Stamper. I used a digital image by Fred, she Said called 'Catchin Flakes.' The paper is also by 'Peppermint Forest'. I put liquid applique on the snow and the hat brim, a pom pom on the tip of the hat, and Stickles on the snowflakes.

My third card was made for FS172 when NCSUnikki was the Featured Stamper. I used an Angel's Landing Digital Image called 'Marching Band'. The music notes are stickers.

I put brads in the arm and leg, and yes, they are move able.

My fourth card was made for FS165 when TheresaCC was the Featured Stamper. I put the dove up on dimensionals, and used both Flower Soft and Liquid Applique for the snow. I used used Stickles on the church window and the snow on the tree. The image is from SU! called 'A Wish for Peace'. The background paper is a metallic gold, and the designer paper also has metallic gold in the stars.

And finally, for my last card I used the FS164 Challenge when Beedubya was the Featured Stamper. My ornaments were a free digital image that I can't remember where I got it from. Sorry. I cut them out and put Crystal Effects on them. The paper is by My Minds Eye 'Signature Xmas Collection'.

I also used a silver metallic gel pen on the ornaments. Here is a close up.

Sleepy Head

Hello, today I have a sweet baby card to show you. This adorable image is called 'Sleepyhead' and is by Wink Wink Ink.

Isn't he a cutie? To make my card I used the S288 Sketch on SCS. The paper is by DCWV 'Nana's Nursery, Baby Boy'. I printed the image twice, colored him with Copic Markers, and then cut out the baby and popped him up on dimensionals. The sentiment is retired SU!. Here are a couple of close ups so you can see the coloring and the dimension.
